Cathy Benedetto,
M.Ac., L.Ac., Dipl. Ac. (NCCAOM)
Clinic Founder and Director

Cathy is a Five Element acupuncturist and a Reiki master with further training in a variety of holistic health modalities including Chinese herbal and dietary therapy, Chakra Balancing, Trager, Zero Balancing, Homeopathy, Qi Gong, and more. At Harmony Gate Wellness Center Cathy primarily offers acupuncture and Chinese herbal formulas.

Cathy has a Master of Acupuncture degree from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute (now TAI Sophia Institute). She is nationally certified as a Diplomate of Acupuncture by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She is licensed in South Carolina to treat humans and in Maryland to treat humans and animals.

When not focused on her oriental medicine practice, Cathy is an accomplished singer, actress, guitarist and songwriter. She has performed onstage at the Aiken Community Playhouse and at the Etheridge Center, as well as at local restaurants. She hosts Aiken to Sing at Harmony Gate Wellness Center.

Rev. Margaret B. Self,
Reiki Master, HND

Margaret is a registered Reiki Master/Teacher through the International Association of Reiki Professionals. She graduated with Highest Honors from Clayton College of Natural Health as a Doctor of Natural Health and is certified (CNHP) by the National Association of Certified Natural Health Professionals. Her holistic training includes Nutrition, Herbology, the Chakra system, Ayurveda, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Iridology, Tai Chi, Homeopathy, Touch for Health Kinesiology and more. Margaret is an Ordained Minister in the Universal Brotherhood Movement, Inc. and has served as a Stephen Minister in a hospital setting. In 1998 she left the corporate world to open Carolina Reiki Institute, Inc. for the purpose of extending to others the benefits of receiving Reiki treatments as well as to train individuals and practitioners in treating others.

Melissa Kitchings

Melissa is a Registered Reiki Master/Teacher through the International Association of Reiki Professionals. Her experience includes the chakra system, creative visualization, intuitive energetic healing, and more, with a focus on the links between our minds, bodies, emotions, and spirits. Melissa is an Ordained Minister in the Universal Brotherhood Movement, Inc., and volunteers at a local hospice. Melissa has been a Reiki Master since 2003 and enjoys sharing this Divine gift with others. Her interests include metaphysical studies and astrology, reflexology, Emotional Freedom Techniques, shamanic journeying, and soul retrieval.

Vic McGraner

Vic contributes technical and site management expertise as well as storytelling skills to Harmony Gate Wellness Center on an occasional basis. Vic also serves on the clinic's Board of Advisors.

Mike Kaney

Mike manages a variety of front desk, computer, and other responsibilities for our office. He welcomes clients and visitors, answers questions, sets up the Aqua Qi ionizing footbath, and helps everyone feel like the valued guests that they truly are.
